Time-resolved fluorescence studies on protoporphyrin IX-apohorseradish peroxidase.
The hemin moiety of horseradish peroxidase (donor:hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase, EC 1.11.1.7) was removed and the apoprotein reconstituted with the fluorescent protoporphyrin IX. Steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence properties of the HRP(desFe) adduct were examined; the multifrequency phase and modulation method was utilized for lifetime and dynamic polarization studies. The emission ...
متن کاملAn Investigation on Corrosion and Stress Corrosion Cracking initiation of a Ferritic Stainless Steel in a Tertiary Amine Solution
The present study focused on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and corrosion behavior of ferritic stainless steel (grade 430) in activated methyl diethanolamine (aMDEA) solution, which is classified as a tertiary amine. In this regard, cyclic polarization and U-bend tests were performed in CO2 loaded aMDEA with different concentrations at 25 and 70 °C to observe corrosion behavior and ...
متن کاملStudies on the active site of pig plasma amine oxidase.
Amine oxidase from pig plasma (PPAO) has two bound Cu2+ ions and at least one pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) moiety as cofactors. It is shown that recovery of activity by copper-depleted PPAO is linear with respect to added Cu2+ ions. Recovery of e.s.r. and optical spectral characteristics of active-site copper parallel the recovery of catalytic activity. These results are consistent with both ...
متن کاملDehydrogenation of a tertiary amine-borane by a rhenium complex.
Photolysis of CpRe(CO)3 in the presence of H3BNEt3 yields the trans-CpRe(CO)2(H)2 complex. This preliminary finding presents a rare example of transition metal mediated dehydrogenation of a tertiary amine-borane and suggests that the abstracted hydrogens may be stored in the form of metal hydride complexes.
متن کاملOxidation of tertiary amine-derivatized surfaces to control protein adhesion.
Selective oxidation of ω-tertiary amine self-assembled thiol monolayers to tertiary amine N-oxides is shown to transform the adhesion of model proteins lysozyme and fibrinogen upon them. Efficient preparation of both secondary and tertiary linker amides as judged by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and water droplet contact angle was achieved with an improved amide bond formation on gold ...
